BRATISLAVA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia and Hungary share reservations over the European Union's (EU) roadmap for stopping imports of strategic energy raw materials from Russia, local media reported on Thursday, citing Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.
This initiative is seen by the two countries as a threat to energy security, economic stability and the fair treatment of EU-member states, the News Agency of the Slovak Republic reported.
Pellegrini and his Hungarian counterpart Tamas Sulyok hailed bilateral relations, who made a one-day official visit to Slovakia.
Sulyok agreed that it is important for the two countries to ensure affordable energy, adding that both countries support the accession of the Western Balkan countries to the EU. ■
