LONDON, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- China is set to make a record-breaking appearance at the 2025 World Travel Market (WTM) in London next month, with unprecedented participation and exhibition space, the China National Tourist Office (CNTO) London announced on Friday.
More than 130 delegates, along with 56 cultural and tourism enterprises, from China have confirmed participation in the event, scheduled for Nov. 4-6. This marks the largest-ever Chinese delegation in WTM London, according to CNTO London.
The exhibitors represent a comprehensive range of sectors, including airlines, travel agencies, study tour operators, hotels, catering, scenic spots, and cruise companies, effectively covering the entire tourism industry chain.
China's exhibition area will span 402 square meters, double the size of last year's, making it the largest pavilion to date. Under the theme "China Tourism: Innovation, Integration and Sustainable Development," the pavilion will feature symbolic elements such as pandas, bamboo, and Chinese characters, showcasing the country's cultural heritage and modern tourism innovation.
The pavilion will include exhibition booths, negotiation zones, a stage area, and a dedicated airline section. A series of events are planned, including cultural and tourism promotions, intangible cultural heritage displays, food tastings, the China Pavilion opening ceremony, and a special "China Night," CNTO London said.
Founded in 1980, WTM London is one of the world's largest and most influential tourism exhibitions. In 2024, it attracted around 4,000 exhibitors from 184 countries and regions, drawing some 46,000 visitors, according to official WTM statistics. ■
