COLOMBO, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka Coast Guard, the navy and Police Narcotic Bureau seized over 900 kg of cannabis at Wennappuwa in northwestern Sri Lanka, the navy said in a statement on Thursday.

The officers also seized motor vehicles, foreign-made pistols, magazines and 40 rounds of ammunition, said the navy, adding that they arrested two suspects.

The street value of the drugs is estimated to be over 202 million rupees (about 670,000 U.S. dollars), the navy said.

The suspects are aged between 44 and 51, the navy said. ■
