NEW DELHI, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- India's premier investigating agency, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has registered a case against three people allegedly involved in human trafficking, officials said Saturday.

The agency busted the racket and charged three people working as agents for sending 23 teenage students to France last year for a rugby training camp.

"The cases against three persons have been registered on the allegations of criminal conspiracy, human trafficking, cheating, forgery and using forged documents," an official said.

The agency carried out searches at the premises of the travel agents -- Faridabad-based Lalit David Dean and Delhi-based Sanjeev Roy and Varun Choudhary -- from where documents were seized, he said.

According to officials victims were identified as children hailing from Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.

Reports said the minors, who were left behind, were allegedly dumped in a local gurudwara (Sikh temple) in France and from there they went missing.
