CHICAGO, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures settled lower on Wednesday amid technical selling and trade uncertainty.

The most active corn contract for July delivery was down 2.25 cents, or 0.61 percent, to 3.6425 U.S. dollars per bushel. July wheat was down 0.5 cent, or 0.11 percent, to 4.39 dollars per bushel. July soybeans were down 3.5 cents, or 0.42 percent, to 8.2725 dollars per bushel.

Following an across-the-board rally in the previous session, CBOT crop futures fell again on technical selling.

Trade uncertainty continued to pressure the crop markets, especially the soybean futures.

Meanwhile, the latest U.S. crop progress report has indicated higher ratings for winter wheat, which led to slight losses in CBOT wheat market amid already ample global stockpile. Enditem
